The intention is to work toward\nharmonization on a broader scale, including the many modern aspects of\nprobiotics manufacturing, in addition to establishing unambiguous\nidentification, characterization, safety, and efficacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IPA decided to initiate a\nNew Work Proposal on probiotics guidelines and\/or a Probiotics Standard at the\nCodex level which will provide agreed essential requirements and specifications\nfor probiotics that contribute to protecting the health of consumers, and\nensuring fair practices in food trade.
